RPS Head: A Precision Upgrade Without System Redesign
Modern radiotherapy systems are built around precision – but upgrading positioning capabilities should not require unnecessary complexity. The RPS Head was developed as a retrofit-ready 6DoF add-on, allowing clinics and OEMs to enhance cranial radiotherapy accuracy without redesigning existing treatment platforms.
The system enables ±4° manual angular correction directly at the patient interface, supporting submillimeter reproducibility for cranial IGRT and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) workflows. By allowing pitch, roll, and yaw adjustments without refixation, the RPS Head helps reduce setup uncertainty while maintaining efficient clinical routines.
One of its key advantages is seamless compatibility with established infrastructures. No changes to the treatment couch, software environment, or existing workflow are required. The platform is designed for integration with systems such as Halcyon®, TomoTherapy®, and other modern radiotherapy environments.
The result is a practical upgrade path for clinics seeking higher positioning precision without introducing new operational complexity.
Enhanced accuracy. Minimal disruption. Designed for real-world radiotherapy workflows.
