Advancing CT Research with a Next-Generation Perfusion Phantom
Realistic simulation plays a crucial role in improving CT imaging, contrast media protocols, and the validation of new diagnostic technologies. Yet accurately reproducing physiological pressure and flow conditions in a controlled research environment remains a significant challenge.
To address this, gKteso partnered with a research institute and a clinical partner to develop an innovative CT-compatible perfusion phantom with integrated pressure sensing. The project combines advanced mechatronics, precision engineering, and imaging compatibility to create a platform capable of simulating realistic perfusion conditions while enabling continuous pressure monitoring.
The phantom is designed to support the development and validation of new CT imaging techniques, injection protocols, and research applications. By providing reproducible testing conditions and quantitative measurement capabilities, it offers researchers and clinicians valuable insights that are difficult to obtain using conventional phantom systems.
This collaborative project demonstrates how engineering, research, and clinical expertise can come together to accelerate innovation in medical imaging.
We look forward to sharing more technical details about the system, its capabilities, and potential applications in upcoming articles.
