Unlocking New Applications for CT Perfusion Phantoms
The most valuable innovations often emerge from questions that have not yet been asked. While developing our CT-compatible perfusion phantom with integrated pressure sensing, discussions have focused on topics such as pressure behavior, flow dynamics, injection protocol validation, and reproducibility under realistic CT conditions. These are important challenges, but they may only represent the beginning of what such a platform can enable.
By providing a controlled, reproducible environment for simulating physiological flow conditions, the phantom opens new possibilities for research, device validation, and protocol optimization. Beyond evaluating contrast media injections, it could support investigations into injector performance, imaging workflow optimization, CT system validation, and the development of new diagnostic approaches.
As medical imaging technologies continue to evolve, collaborative research becomes increasingly important. New perspectives from clinicians, researchers, OEMs, and technology developers can reveal application areas that extend far beyond the original project scope.
We believe the most exciting use cases may still lie ahead. Which CT- or injection-related challenges would you like to investigate with a platform like this? We look forward to exchanging ideas and exploring new possibilities together.
